History
My name is Benjamin Rodriguez. I had a life-changing Encounter with Jesus Christ in November 2005. Within that first year, I set a goal to memorize Psalm 119. With great difficulty, I learned the first 40 (of 176) verses! Shortly after that, I began writing music to help me memorize it, and easily learned the entire psalm by heart. I have written many other passages of Scripture to music.
In 2008, God called me to share this music with the Church: to edify His Body and beautify His Bride.
The Meaning Behind the Name
Learn – Some say they “fall in love.” If you fall in love, you might just as easily fall out of love. But when you learn something – truly learn – it becomes a part of you and never leaves you.
Love – The central word to the name is central to life, and central to the Gospel. Love is the ultimate goal in the Christian life (1 Tim 1:5). The Love of God, poured out in the heart of His Church. I believe there is no greater experience of the love of God than to receive a revelation of the price that our Lord Jesus paid at the Cross.
Word – The “Word” is two-fold. It is the written word: the Bible. But Jesus Himself is also called “the Word.” My mission is not to learn to love the black words on a white page – but by the grace of God and the empowerment of the Holy Spirit to bring the words of Scripture to life through music and melody that you might hear a Living Voice – the Voice of the Son of God.
